Ammonia for cleaning burners: Put a little ammonia and one of the removable burners in a ziplock bag and leave them overnight. The fumes from the ammonia will loosen the gunk, and you can wipe them down in the morning. I have done this and it works great!
Drip Pan and Burner Cleaning Using Household Ammonia
GREASY STOVE FILTER! Haul out your biggest pot, fill it with water and bring it to a boil. Then add 1/2 cup of BAKING SODA….VERY SLOWLY!Literally, you have to add it about a tablespoon at a time because itIMMEDIATELY fizzes up quite alarmingly! (The fizz goes right away.) Then take your caked-with-grease filter and submerge it in the pot. (Well, 1/2 of it anyway.)
Scorched your favorite pan? Boil 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white vinegar. Remove from heat, add 2 tablespoons of baking soda and scrub. The scorch mark should come right off after a little scrubbing.
