Walnut's Great Source Of Biotin For Hair Growth Walnuts are the only type of nut that have a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids. They're also rich in biotin and vitamin E, which helps protect your cells from DNA damage. Since your hair rarely gets much shielding from the sun, this is especially great. Too little biotin can lead to hair loss. Walnuts also have copper, a mineral that helps keep your natural hair color rich and lustrous.

Beauty tip: go nuts! Make your own mix of your favorite nuts. Such as nuts which are rich in selenium, which increases skin elasticity. Walnuts, which fight breakouts with omega-3s!

they had a huge English Walnut tree in their yard and grandpa would gather them all up and dry them in their attic...and then at Christmas time we would have big bowls of these gems to crack and munch on....he gave us a sapling and that tree is still in my parents yard today....61 years old...

Walnuts contain a number of compounds with anti-tumor effects. One of these, ellagic acid, has been shown to inhibit colon cancer cell proliferation and angiogenesis in a number of laboratory studies. Flaxseed oil has a similar effect as walnuts on tumor growth, but doesn not suppress angiogenesis to the same degree.
