This is what happens when you microwave a bar of Ivory soap! Then you can tear it up, color it, and mold it into shapes! It's not wet and messy, either! This is awesome! Cool science experiment for kids.

FAIL!!! Besides the fact that the smell of microwaved Ivory soap gave us all headaches, I found that this idea was completely useless and a waste of time/$. IMO ...this is totally genius. Soap Clouds – your kids are going to love this!

Place milk in shallow dish- add drops of food coloring. Now grab a *magic* toothpick. What? You don’t know where to buy magic toothpicks?? Just dip the end in dish soap & touch the milk with it. Colors instantly shoot out at lightning speed creating a wake of rainbows! Try dipping the toothpick in the color first and then the milk and you’ll make rings. Do not drink the milk ;)

Make a CLOUD! Fun science activity for kids. For younger children, this will have to be a demo (aerosol hairspray or blown out lit match is needed in a glass jar), but the children can still observe and record their Scientific method steps and can 'touch cloud' afterwards! :)

Ivory soap - You may recall that Ivory soap floats in water. The reason for that is that unlike other soap, it has a a bunch of air whipped into it. This is important because when you microwave it, all those tiny air bubbles expand and make your soap look like this
