Barn Doors - storage space is always at a premium. Sometimes in those nooks there simply isn't space for doors that open. Tucking those essentials behind a sliding door is a great solution.

This might be too much, but I really like the idea of seeing everything and not having to search through deep cupboards.

This space is created by opening the space between the studs in the wall. Small, skinny spot, but look at all of the fabulous storage with small pantry items that take forever to find - a great idea to steal space and have a big impact.

barn door pantry. Like this idea but where to slide them and have them not be in the way is the question

Amazing door treatment for walk in pantry. This installation also looks great with a matching valance when the aesthetic is more sophisticated, and the hardware needs to be hidden.

Sliding barn doors are so cool! Two more pantries with them at the link. Love the sliding barn door look - functional too!

Loves this - would be perfect solution for small baths whose door open into stall area and you have to juggle to get the door closed. Probably would want a solid door though

A pop of color in the kitchen? Why not! Love that the island and screened door match and really pop in a sea of white cabinets - great way to bring in color without committing (you can always change the color and they're relatively small areas to paint!).

The owners of this South Carolina home wanted a welcoming entry and loved the idea of keeping their front door open to enjoy the breeze while still keeping bugs at bay. The answer: sliding screened doors hung just inside the foyer, instead of outside the front entrance. Plus, the doors keep the entry and surrounding area open because there is no door swing.

Pantry behind barn doors. Great for a narrow kitchen with little storage. (And theres's no space for things to get shoved far in the back - LOVE IT!)
