Basil - With dozens of types to choose from, basil satisfies almost any palate. It's best known as the main ingredient in pesto, but some varieties impart anise, lemon, mint, cinnamon, or clove flavors to foods. Selections that have purple foliage or attractive blooms are especially ornamental. Grow basil in full sun, tucking a few plants into flowerbeds or into container gardens.

YUGOSLAVIAN RED LETTUCE is an heirloom from Europe. Succulent buttery red tinged leaves form heads 10" across. Really "buttery" sweet flavor. One of my all-time favorites! Butterhead.

Merlot Lettuce Organic - 55 days. Striking, deep dark red, almost purple frilly leaves. A real eye-catcher in the garden and one of the darkest lettuces you can grow. The plant is nothing less than stunning. A very crisp and open headed leaf type that stands upright with a waxy shine that makes an ideal salad lettuce at every stage. It's very high in antioxidants and non-bitter.

Climbing Hydrangea. Yes, this is a slow grower as it doesn't really take off for about three years, but so worth the wait! It will grow in the shade too...an extra bonus if you have a shady stone wall or fence...or house!
