Repurposed entertainment center - turned into a toy kitchen for kids! Such a great idea!

GREAT IDEA! As a new teacher, I know I am not going to have a lot of money to go out and spend. If I get a kindergarten classroom, I know I cannot afford an expensive play kitchen; therefore, I can go to Goodwill and buy an old entertainment center and make my own (with boyfriend's help ofcourse, haha). Plus, I can add my own touch! :)

Inspiration Kids 2: Play Kitchen July 1, 2011 Remember all that beechwood furniture from last decade? Well, there's a lot of it still around. At thrift stores, in your garage. If you have something like this waiting for an upcoming yardsale, try making this instead! So creative, right?! Looks just like the $99 ones for sale at Target.

Before and after: handmade toy kitchen from old entertainment center. I cant begin to express how clever these grandparents are, and crafty, to make this beautiful toy out of an old piece of unwanted furniture. And its a hundred times better quality than the plastic play kitchens you can buy in the store. way to go!

DIY modern play kitchen. I love the hanging utensils , storage shelf and chalkboard on the side.

I'd rather have a play kitchen like this for my daughter than the cheep crappy one I bought for her 3 years ago!

huh neat idea...for those of us with boys who would love to nights in shining armor....i can see making some chain armor for them will match the cardboard castle!
