Frederic Chopin (1810-1849) was born in Poland and settled in France. He was a very skilled pianist, and composed some exquisite music for that instrument. His piano pieces include Preludes, Etudes, Waltzes, Impromptus, Ballades, Nocturnes and Scherzos, as well as Mazurkas and Polonaises based on Polish dance forms. I miss my Polish grandma and her great memories of this rich heritage...
