Jewelry/accessories cabinet - This vintage-inspired bedroom armoire has oodles of ways to keep things tidy. Each pair of shoes has its own compartment, and clear-front doors keep them paired up and free from scratches. Bins and boxes to neatly corral belts, headbands, and other small accessories adorn the shelves, leaving enough room on other shelves for a row of upright purses and stacked shirts. Mirrors on the upper and lower doors make it easy to look good from head to toe.

Painted Furniture:: Step by Step Chalk paint is a special formula designed to give you a European style distressed look without priming. The formula is water based and easy to use. Specialty chalk paint or milk paints will give you a lovely distressed finish when you lightly sand away the thin layers revealing parts of the wood underneath.

Distressed Design from BHG. I dig the paint, but love the mirrors on the inside of the doors even more!

Be Creative with Wallpaper Wallpaper isn't just for walls. Paper the drawer or door fronts of a painted dresser or cabinet, or use it to decorate a plain headboard. You'll get a custom-looking piece of furniture with lots of impact.

Good use of a small space. Ohh, love this idea for one of the closets in Lily's room..

Interesting and very organized but I don't know if all my stuff could fit in there...

Craft space organization: If you only have a closet or a small nook (could be covered by a pretty curtain or doors), this is an awesome way to get organized - the rolling cart is at IKEA and the white boxes to the r/h side are from Michael's - often at 40% off. The ribbon/etc holder also from Michael's, but would be easy to build and probably more sturdy.

drinks bar open. a coat of paint would make it even better. looks like an old hotel tv armoire

I've been saying that we need to do this for years - armoire turned serving bar (ya know...since we drink so much). BUT, it would make a great serving station for drinks at a get together - alcoholic or otherwise.

Decorating with Summer Whites: This Queen Anne-style armoire wore a dark finish until a few layers of paint and a bit of sanding gave it a distressed look that suits this all-white bedroom. Layer different shades of white to provide more texture and a sense of age to a room. Even an old metal chandelier found new life thanks to white paint.

No more searching around the house for your favorite movies and magazines. This armoire relies on labeled boxes to corral entertainment essentials. Using coordinating baskets is a stylish and strategic way to keep games, CDs, and DVDs organized.
