Everything You Wanted To Know About Typograpy, or, Learn This To Communicate Better With Type.

Gestalt: Closure. Onze hersenen willen de lege ruimte tussen vormen in een letter opvullen.

serif fonts paired with sans serifs, like fine cheeses paired with their perfect fruit counterparts!

Headliners: font - cursive for classical music concerts (opera, ballet, classical music) bold for headliners (broadway, big time singers/ musicians/ etc.) sharp for contemporary concerts (radio artists) times new roman or similar fonts for informational or articles

Fonts. Not many designers stick to these tenets anymore. As in, they weren't taught...or they don't care. Great graphic design is quickly becoming a lost art, I feel like.

An interesting (and pretty appealing, design-wise) look at typography. The information based on operating systems definitely represents the differences in style the OSes like to go for - Windows being traditional, Apple a bit trendier and Linux being all functionality. I'm typically not a fan of white text on black background, but in this case I think it's functional enough. The smaller text is tough to read - I'd vote for larger fonts across the board on this design.
