1904 White rear-entrance tonneau steam car. White Motor Co started in 1900 and their last steam cars were produced in 1910. They continued producing gas powered cars, then tractors, buses & trucks until 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio. The first car used by the white house under William Howard Taft was a 1909 White steam car.

1909 Baker Electric - Baker Electrics were made in Cleveland, Ohio from 1899-1914. Electric cars were preferred by most women as they didn't need crank starting and were great for errands around town. They were finished out in brocades, living room styled swivel chairs in many cases, flower vases, window shades and high interior height to allow for the massive hats of the day; all of which appealed to their buyers. This car is owned by Jay Leno; shown driving.
