    • 1 tbsp Thyme, dried
    • 1 Yellow onion, large

    Canned Goods

    • 6 cups Beef stock or broth
    • 3 tbsp Tomato paste

    Condiments

    • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    Baking & Spices

    • 1 Salt and pepper
    • 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar

    Oils & Vinegars

    • 2 tbsp Olive oil

    Dairy

    • 2 tbsp Butter

    Beer, Wine & Liquor

    • 1 cup Guinness stout beer
    • 1 cup Red wine

      Beef Irish Stew *Made this tonight. It was awesome! I couldn't fine a single bottle of Guinness beer, and though I don't mind using beer in food, I don't drink and I have no reason to invest in a six pack. So, no beer - I added an extra cup of broth instead and served it with buttermilk biscuits.

      Beef Irish Stew **Made this tonight. It was awesome! I added an extra cup of broth instead. And I don't like wine, so I used grape juice for the wine. This was a big hit tonight. I served it with buttermilk biscuits.
