someone wrote:"If only more people took time to do this for their children!!! "What I love is that each morning, Charlotte and Amelia rush to their envelopes to see what we've written. The notes are sometimes a simple observation of a charitable act or a quick drawing to make them laugh. I love that Charles and I force ourselves to take a minute each evening to think about why we love our children."

When the child opens the door the morning of their birthday they get an avalanche of balloons! Love it!

"Technology Tickets". Each Sunday give the kids 10 tickets. Each ticket = 30 minutes of t.v., game system, computer, etc. Tickets can be used consecutively, but when they are out they are out for the week. **Love this idea!!!** Loss of ticket for consequences - talking back, fighting, etc.

Use your favorite tiny outfits after they've outgrown them to make them a special pillow.

Daily schedule for summer to post on fridge - magnets glued to the backs of poster board strips. - I am going to do something like this! I like how this isn't based on the clock I have tried that it didn't work for us! One day art time would last 2 minutes, another day 20 minutes! Love that it is more of a routine.
