British Sweeties-Revels: a cinema confection, these come in bags for sharing. A 'traditional'' range of flavours, rather than sophisticated. Orange cream, milky coffee, granite-hard toffee, raisin, a flat disk of chocolate (denuded Minstrel?) This was high-rolling in the Seventies. Perhaps the ambient cinema lighting contributed, but orange creams (insert your least favourite), like buses, often came in threes, right at the end of the bag.
Milky Way: favourite of buzz-kill mums, Milky Way apparently didn't ruin your appetite (but this duo bar might). Often used as ballast in Christmas selection boxes, it's pleasant, but no more than that. Never eliciting the passion of its more revered siblings.
