Cooking is something I had to teach myself once I moved out. Growing up I only ate home cooked meals when my grandma made them, otherwise we ate out, mostly due to our busy schedule. Roasted green beans and mushrooms: Put trimmed green beans and sliced mushrooms in a gallon ziploc with 2 Tbs each of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Shake to coat, then spread evenly on a rimmed baking sheet. Roast at 230C / 450F for 20ish minutes, then sprinkle with kosher salt, pepper and Parmesan.

Preheat oven to 425 F. Cut into 3" sticks, light layer of olive oil on baking sheet. SEASON – Use salt and one or two of following: paprika, cumin, cayenne, crushed red peppers, thyme, rosemary, sage. Toss with tablespoon EVOO Cook for about 20 min

Slice tomatoes crosswise & season with salt & pepper. Saute crushed garlic, olive oil & fresh thyme until golden. Add some parmesan cheese and remove from heat. Place tomato halves cut side down on an oiled grill until you get grill marks, then turn them over with tongs & spoon the garlic cheese topping & cook until it looks done.
