Get out your corn on the cob (husk and all) and place it in your microwave. Cook the corn on full power for 5 minutes. Remove the corn from the microwave using oven mitts and cut about 1 inch off the bottom. Hold the corn up from the opposite side and it will easily slide down and out... completely clean.
Easy way to shuck corn! To avoid shucking corn and trying to get all of the silk off, just microwave your corn 4-5 minutes in the microwave for one ear; or 10 minutes for 3 ears. The husks keep the moisture in and help steam the corn. Cut an inch off the wide end and the corn slips right out…no silks!
