I use the "machines" tip everyday - washer/dryer, vacuum, dishwasher, et al. I also set the kitchen timer for 45 minutes and clean as fast as I can/as much as I can. Sort of excercise and cleaning at same time - and there is an END to it!

The timer is a great idea. When my kids were small(er) I would set it for 3 minutes & have a race to see how much we could all get done. Toys, their rooms, etc. When the timer rang, we were done. You wouldn't believe how much can be done in 3 minutes!!

32 things you should be cleaning...but aren't. I usually clean the parts of my vacuum, but I never have put it in the dishwasher. Will definitely try next time I take it apart for a cleaning! :)

Keep your house clean with 1 chore per day

Yes, yes, yes! Most helpful tips ever! How to keep your house clean (not picking up, but maintaining a clean house) in just 15 minutes a day. This woman knows her stuff!

Schedule...... If I ever decide to be a "good" wife. But my kids will be (always have been) responsible for their own laundry, linens, room tidiness and their bathroom (also the "community" bathroom).

I really like routines. Really. You can only build up something from a strong base. Safety swag. I actually clean the whole house every day, but I actually enjoy cleaning the whole house every day. Kind of like do the "Daily" part, and randomly do the rest of in the other rooms through the week. I'll definetly try this organizing of housework, it is totally worth a try!

I have tried and I love! She has a customizable graphic on her blog so you can make the adorable chore list fit your home. So far it's working nicely for me. Keeps me on track, motivated, and not feeling overwhelmed with cleaning that isn't getting done all in one swoop.

I like the idea of having a weekly cleaning schedule! That way you don't spend your weekends scrubbing toilets...

I love this idea - she has a checklist for different rooms. I am going to print these and give a checklist to each kid to do for the whole week.
