My teachers should start doing this! Not that they're bad at teaching, I mean, they're wonderful, but these would make school a bit better.

I would like to use this for classroom management during my lessons. It lists statements that students may use in place of the phrases "I can't" or "I don't know." This would definitely contribute to an encouraging and positive classroom environment.
Not allowed to say "I cant!!" I want this for my kiddos so they can understand and know that they can do it and build up their self esteem.
Instead of I Can't....not just for kids either!

Simplifying classroom rules This is a very simple, nice classroom poster or a reminder to teach your kids at home to help the teacher!
Since I started high school I have been performing a wide variety of roles around children in both the leisure and education sides. I have sporadically acted as English teacher and summer camps leader in different schools.

"Giving students the language for participation is so important. Providing an anchor chart with alternatives to "I don't know!" gives them an opportunity for success, rather than to feel like they have failed. For students that need a more consistent reminder, making these on a bookmark is an excellent way to keep it in student's hands and the forefront of their minds."
What students can say instead of IDK! Great idea!

A helpful check-off list for early elementary grades when reporting student behavior to the teacher.
A helpful check-off list for early elementary grades when reporting student behavior to the teacher. - Never thought I would need this for middle school...
This would be a great poster for the classroom or even a great graphic organizer for kids to look at before reporting to the teacher.
Task 1- Shape behavior -Many teachers struggle with students tattling after recess and it often takes up a lot of time. This would be a good sign to have posted in the classroom and important to go over it with the students so they know they cannot tattle, only report if it is something that is even report worthy
For my teacher friends. Great anchor chart for Reporting vs. Tattling

These are sites that are fun, will engage them creatively, as well as intellectually, and also keep them out of trouble. I just added 10 more sites to my list from a previous post. I know some classrooms are using this list because they come to my old post every week. I occasionally add a few more sites for them. I dont know any of their grade levels or interests so I just try to mix it up. It seems they must find things they like because they keep coming back. Here are the links that I have added so far. This is the BEST idea. As a teacher there will be a lot of this. As a student I saw a lot of this myself. I wasn't talking I was singing. Singing, whispering, whatever you were still TALKING.
Every teacher should have this in their classroom so kids can't say, "I wasn't talking!" Behavior management :)

Instead of kids always saying "I don't know" here are some alternatives to use that gives a teacher a better idea of why they are confused. Would be good as a poster in the classroom- Kaitlyn Aceto

I love this. Alternatives to saying "I don't Know" This doesn't really fit on any of my boards, so this one is as good as any. This is a valuable lesson for kids and adults.
Alternatives to "I Don't Know" in the classroom... I think I may tape this to every desk. Great way to get kids to get to the root of what the struggle is.
I would love for teachers to post this on their rooms and hold kids accountable to it.
