In the US, 50% more people die by suicide each year than by homicide. Experts believe that most suicidal individuals do not want to die. They just want to end the pain they are experiencing. When suicidal intent or risk is detected early, lives can be saved. Sept 8th-Sept 14th is National Suicide Prevention Week. Support suicide prevention and together we can reduce the number of lives shaken by a needless and tragic death. #Mentalhealth

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline You may not know this, but this week is national suicide prevention week. I have something to ask of everyone. Step up and be a friend. Even if you don't know them very well. Maybe it's someone on your team, or on campus, or someone who sits further away in the cafeteria, or someone you see at the library. Maybe it's just someone who looks down that day. Step up!! Say hi, smile, or invite them to sit with you. Not just this week, but everyday. All it takes it a smile or a nice text, a phone call, some recognition. Let them know you care. Let them know you see their worth, their beauty, and that you're there for them. We've all felt alone and down on ourselves. Let's try lifting one another up and spreading light into each other lives. Don't be afraid to ask for some extra help. There are professionals where everything is confidential and you can learn healthy coping skills I help you with certain life situations. Please, you owe it to yourself and we owe it to each other. I love you and you're someone's reason to smile. Please spread this message. Let everyone feel the love and acceptance, and may we pray that it helps them through.

When it comes to recognizing and treating mental health problems, such as depression, spouses are the first line of defense, some treatment professionals say.

Veterans are the foundation of what America has been built on....

Love this design! Would work well to use kids' shoes for personalized art.
