The original SNL female cast members: Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman, and Gilda Radner. Stayed up every Saturday night to watch. It's never been the same since those first years.
When SNL was at it's absolute best.
I completely disagree. My dad has some of the old SNL's on dvd and I don't find them funny. The women who were on until recently (Tina Fey, Amy P, Kristin Wig, Maya Roudolf) were the best. No one tops Tina or Kristin.
SNL was at its best during its first few years, though it's still funny now. Of course, the episodes aren't quite as funny watching them now, since a lot of the humor was topical. But there are still some classic bits from back then.
Agreed. "Jane, you ignorant slut."

Rip Gilda. 25 years ago today. She is a huge inspiration to me and always makes me laugh no matter how many times I watch her. Love her ♥
