This looks like the Brownie uniform I wore. My pixie badge had to be polished and shiny and my tie perfectly ironed and tied. I liked the knitted hat which was easy to wear. I learned how to lay a table and darn socks at Brownies.

I was a Brownie with a uniform just like this. We had to learn to tie our own tie and keep our brownie badge shiny.

I was both a Brownie(picture on the right) and a Girl Guide. They are the Canadian equivalent of Girl Scouts. I loved going to Girl Guide camp and earning badges! I never had to wear the hat. I do remember the salute though and the Girl Guide song.
