Lots of good planting schemes for containers and gardens here. Love the black-leaved Dahlia with purple Calibrachoa (they look like mini petunias), chartreuse sweet potato vine, alternanthera, pentas and bacopa. Great color combo!

Succulent container gardens can transform bland outdoor spaces into inviting living areas. In turn, the plants benefit from warmth radiated by your home’s walls and hardscape and require little water or upkeep.

I love the height, and the colours, and the planter, and the trellis...

Repurposing materials in the garden is a great way to add budget-friendly accents to a cottage landscape. Think beyond a container's initial purpose and see what it can be used for. If a water fountain no longer retains water, fill it with soil for a cascading display of succulents, sedums, and other plants.

Now THAT's a container! Need a list of probables to create this top to bottom: a bright green Colocasia/Caladium (Elephant Ear) // Persicaria microcephala 'Red Dragon' (or Lysimachia “Firecracker” – which is invasive planted in ground) // Monarda (bergamot - bee balm) "Pardon my Pink" // Coleus (red or pink) // Ipomoea - Sweet Potato Vine "Sweetheart lime"

2 Urns like these, but probably with cut flowers and sweet potato plants; also a little lower. for ends of dock/wedding
