I'm a BIG fan of sticky notes...a list of ways kids can use sticky notes to record their thinking while reading - their metacognition....

Classrooom t-shirts with each of the kids self portrait only costs 7.00 per student to make and would be an AWESOME keepsake...would love to see the class wear them for field day or on field trips!

This may be going up in the kitchen very soon!

    Haha. I stenciled my mom a sign that said "eat what you're served and shut up" all pretty with flowers etc. Ha

    It's because my dad is so picky and we make 4 separate salsas, different dressings for him etc. Hah

I give each of the kids a page with a different idiom on it and then we put all the pages together to make a class book. They love to check it out from the book bin!

Finally found a way to explain this to my kids! It's a GREAT help!

Back to School class portraits and writing about themselves is a must at the beginning of the school year. {So much character!}
