Beer Biscuits

Beer Biscuits | 2 c Bisquick, cut in 1/2 c sour cream, mix in 1/2 c beer. Melt 1/4 c butter. Pour half in a baking pan. Pat out dough, cut into biscuits, place in pan. Brush tops with remaining butter. Bake at 450 12-15 minutes. Leftover biscuits are great sliced, buttered and toasted in the toaster oven!

These biscuits are so yummy! If you have ever had Popeye’s biscuits you will know what I mean. These are a really close match. Don’t be afraid of these because they are made from scratch. They are really very simple with only 4 ingredients. I have known many inexperienced cooks who had great success with biscuits. Try them. I think you’ll like them! Chicken Alfredo Biscuit Bake... This is AMAZING... It uses a creamy cheesy Alfredo sauce that the veggies (I used broccoli, but about any veggie will work) rest in. Then top with Pillsbury Grands that rest on the Alfredo sauce so the bottoms taste like dumplings while the tops are crispy crunchy... Cream Biscuits {Only 2 Ingredients!}

Cream Biscuits (only 2 ingredients!) Many, many hints on making the perfect fluffy biscuit. One example is this: Biscuit dough does not need to be kneaded except just to form a ball. A few gentle folds is enough. It is a common mistake in biscuit making to overhandle the dough.

"Popeyes" Biscuits - 2 cups Bisquick, 1/2 c. sour cream, 1/2 c. club soda, 1 TBS sugar. Mix together, press into 9x9 inch pan with 2 TBS. melted butter. Brush top with more butter. Score into 9 biscuits. Bake at 450°F for 12-15 minutes until golden. (The club soda version of these tastes much better than the 7up version, but both are incredibly light and fluffy.)

Alton Brown's Southern Biscuits Makes 1 dozen biscuits. 2 cups flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons shortening 1 cup buttermilk, chilled Roll & cut out on floured board Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.

Red Lobster Rolls Ingredients: 2 Cups Bisquik, 1 Tablespoon Parsley Flakes, 2/3 Cup Milk, 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese, 1/4 cup Melted Butter or Margarine; Directions: Mix the Bisquik, milk, and cheese until soft dough. (hand beat about 30 times) Spoon out onto a greased cookie sheet using a big spoon. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley flakes. Then brush the sauce over warm rolls.
