Path to Veggie Garden

Stone walkway with Irish Moss (Sagina subulata) between the flagstones.

The more I look at this the more I can see it as part of our front entrance.... hmmmm, creative wheels are turning

Boxwoods, bricks, and hydrangeas ~ perfect! This could be a front porch or a back porch... but the curb appeal is strong for either case. Fabulous welcoming stone pathway with gorgeous evergreen hedges and beautiful ever blooming hydrangeas behind the hedges (called 'layering') and of course steps up to a gorgeous deck or porch. Love this look.

It reminds me of Bali but I'm sure this isn't Balinese design (maybe Polynesian?). I'd make sure there are a lot of small fish in the pond tho, just to make sure no mosquito larvae survive.

keep this in mind (link does not go directly to blog post--you'll have to dig to find it)

Could stagger side of house walkway like this - less planting - lower maintenance.

We used to have garden paths like this, but in Arizona, it's almost impossible to maintain, unless you're willing to shade and water 3 times in the summer (May-Oct).... so we ripped it out and went to native plants, which still flower all year long... our neighbors tell us we have the best front yard.... and back yard in the neighborhood.... took us years to perfect, tho!
