The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (840L). Complete with in-text formative assessments from LightSail. #WeHaveDiverseBooks
Unbelievable story! Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is a heartwrenching book to read and at times it's difficult to continue, but if you stay with it to the end, you'll be greatly rewarded. Yes, it is terribly sad, even tormenting, but ultimately it is a beautiful story of friendship, betrayal and, finally, redemption.

"Rob Hodgson's book jacket for The Catcher in the Rye". One of my favorite books, even though I am not a nihilist.
Rob Hodgson book jacket for The Catcher in the Rye - because I like Rob Hodgsons illustrations, and the way he has illustrated it allows the image to carry on to the spine and back cover, he hasn't limited himself within the frame of the cover
Catcher in the Rye: DEFINITELY worth reading. This is a coming of age book that helped me, during the summer before ninth grade, learn more about myself. This book is about a 16-year-old boy named Holden Caulfield that acts a little older than 16 and does things a little differently than most 16-year-olds. I fell in love with the book at age 14, so I'm sure this is a priceless book for all ages. :D

The extraordinary #1 New York Times bestseller that is now a major motion picture, Markus Zusak's unforgettable story is about the ability of books to feed the soul. It is 1939. Nazi Germany. The country is holding its breath. Death has never been busier, and will become busier still. Liesel Meminger is a foster girl living outside of Munich, who scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can’t resist–books.

Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder I loved these when I was younger. I dressed up as Laura to teach a biography lesson one day and my students had no idea who she was. I need to fix that.
Laura Ingalls's story begins in 1871 in a little log cabin on the edge of the Big Woods of Wisconsin. The nine Little House books have been cherished by generations of readers as both a unique glimpse into America's frontier past and a heartwarming, unforgettable story.
My favorite book series growing up. I think I read every single one of them three or four times!

The Catcher in the Rye - One of Andrew's Favorite books he read. He read it in his freshman yr in high school & wrote a great paper on it. His teacher read it to her Senior English class & told them this is how THEY should be writing !!
JD Salinger - The catcher in the rye (I feel like you need to read this book in High School. Anything later in life and it just doesn't resonate)
The Catcher in the Rye was required reading when I was in high school. You know... back when they taught things but still wanted you to learn to think for yourself.
Nothing beats a simple book cover such as The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger. Even worn out, this cover is instantly recognizable!
The Catcher In the Rye. My dad gave me this book to read over the summer when I was in high school. Loved it.
Catcher in The Rye. This is my favorite book for a couple of reasons. Holden's carefree attitude and rebellious nature are things that a lot of boys go through if just in their heads.

Pride and Prejudice is my all time favorite book. I have read it at least once a year for over 20 years....I always find something to appreciate.
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, is a beautiful classic for teens. It's full of mystery and romance.
Pride and Prejudice - The classic story of the eternal male - female conflict. Looking forward to reading this so much!
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. This was my mother's favorite novel. I gave this edition to my daughter to read when she was in fourth grade. She was thrilled this last year when she got to play Kitty Bennett on stage this last year. Legacy.
Jane Austen is my all time favorite author, with Pride and Prejudice being my favorite novel. :)
Pride and Prejudice- Probably my all-time favorite book. How many times have I read it??
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen the story of Mrs. Bennet's attempts to marry off her five daughters is one of the best-loved and most enduring classics in English literature. Excitement fizzes through the Bennet household at Longbourn in Hertfordshire when young, eligible Mr. Charles Bingley rents the fine house nearby. He may have sisters, but he also has male friends, and one of these—the haughty, and even wealthier, Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy—irks the vivacious Elizabeth Bennet, the second ...

Watership Down Richard Adams 1972 A classic adventure novel, the story features a small group of anthropomorphised rabbits who possess their own culture, language, proverbs, poetry, and mythology. Watership Down was Richard Adams' first novel. Although it was rejected by several publishers before Collings accepted it, it won the annual Carnegie Medal, annual Guardian Prize, and other book awards.
Watership Down by Richard Adams IS MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER! And that is saying something, because I love books.
Amazing Book Cover: Watership Down by Richard Adams. Such a great book!!!! Now a favorite of my grandchildren too.
Watership Down book by Richard Adams. Animals. Woodland. Environmentalist. Animal Rights. Eco friendly. Story. Rabbits. 1980's 1970's..
'Watership Down' - Richard Adams Puffin cover art by Pauline Baynes - I note the refined palette of muted colours in Baynes's work and I do not want to use it in my own work. Muted neutral tones really do not do it for me, although that's a nice enough rabbit.
