"Portrait of a Woman of the Hofer Family", c. 1470, by an unknown artist. "The sitter's family is identified by the inscription (born a Hofer), although her precise identity is unknown. She holds a forget-me-not, presumably for remembrance. On her headdress is a fly, either a symbol of mortality or a reminder of the artist's skills of illusion. The artist worked in Southern Germany; the portrait probably dates from about 1470."
Another pinner wrote this, and that is exactly me. It's funny how much people can be so alike.. - Beautiful! This has been my dream to take this type of photography. Then to be able to hear the stories behind the face n see if its what people think when they see the art! Awesome one day God will give me the time to pursue my dreams n if not I will still Serve Him to the Fullest !
