Tried 1 tablespoon baking soda with some drops of tea tree essential oil, then added 1 cup warm water, poured some in hair, massaged it all over scalp, left in about 1 minute, then rinsed out. Hair and scalp felt great after the first use.
To condition hair: In the mustard squirt bottle (that came with the ketchup bottle!), mix 1 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice) with 1 cup of hot water. After hair has been shampoo-ed and rinsed, condition ends of hair with the vinegar/water mixture, and massage into tips. Rinse as normal.
Baking Soda Cleansing Shampoo 1 quart boiling water 1/4 c. baking soda Add the soda to the water and mix or shake until dissolved. Cool prior to use. Apply liberally to hair and scalp, shaking first if necessary. Massage into scalp and hair then rinse well. (credit)
