I only pinned bc the math is wrong. It would take 7000 jumping jacks! Not 1000. Thats 10 sets of 700! Weight loss is not easy, make sure the facts are straight before you post these work out memes. It's discouraging and misleading for ppl really trying to lose weight.
Does anyone else see the messed up math in this weight loss logic? If 2 jumping jacks = 1 calorie burnt, then 1000 jumping jacks would only burn 500 calories. Therefore you would need to do 7000, not 1000, jumping jacks to lose a pound!!

BMR calculator - This gives me about 1650/day. When I am trying to lose weight I'm supposed to stay closer to 1300. But it's a good formula to keep around.

I spend a lot of time on the internet and subsequently I see a lot of great ideas. I can't remember where I was at but I recently saw a really cool idea for tracking weight loss.....motivation jars! You just mark one with "Pounds to go" and another "Pounds lost" and you use some kind of counters to track your progress. For instance, if I want to lose 40 pounds, I would put 40 marbles into the "Pounds to go" jar. As I lose each pound, I would transfer a marble over to the "Pounds lost" jar.
