alternative painting to explore understanding of disabilities so we decided to try to paint with our mouths like Leanne in order to have more appreciation for her talent. and it was hard.

Great sites for therapy ideas for kids with special needs -

A very fun, detailed lesson on Art Sub Lessons, a site devoted just to lessons that teachers can use in a pinch or substitutes can use if no lesson plans are left behind. I downloaded several and saved some power points. Substantial, engaging lessons! This was a clever idea: Picasso meets Grant Wood. Choose any two artists and a famous masterpiece and a lesson emerges!

    Looks like a great lesson!

Pendulum Painting. This would be a great science based lesson for EOY. This was always one of my favorite projects in middle school and I still have all my "drawings" now. Great way to tie a lesson in with this and very inexpensive. - Heart-2-Home

Party paint game. That looks like fun. Use a party blower as a way to spread paint! Kids will get a kick out of that. (Better use a drop sheet or do it outside!) #painting #kidscrafts #birthdayparties #kids #fun

Painting on foil! You just add some dish soap and it helps the paint to stick. So fun!
