Cindy Whitehead riding the full pipe in the late 1970s.
Growing up, I wore baggy jeans, big tees and had short hair. Instead of a purse, I always had a backpack/bookbag or a crossover bag- I loved it. I. felt good. My makeup consisted of lotion and chapstick (occasionally some eyeliner). I wasn't conforming to society's role of female and didn't feel pressured to do so. As years went on, I began wearing boots, fitted jeans, cute tops- and my self-esteem and confidence changed- LOVED BEING A TOMBOY!
