The Wind in the Willows is a classic of children's literature by Kenneth Grahame, first published in 1908. Alternately slow moving and fast paced, it focuses on four anthropomorphised animal characters in a pastoral version of England.

I used to have a giant book with these stories in them but forget what they were like.

A favorite childhood book. I hoped the nuns at my grade school would line us up one day, and we would miraculously step out of our school in Pennsylvania and find ourselves on the streets of PARIS!

Remember Matilda? - Quentin Blake's picture :) love them

Roald Dahl - Matilda; I think its very ironic that the first chapter book I remember falling in love with was Matilda, a book about a girl who loves to read, and now I love to read :)

the twits • roald dahl - one of my favorite stories of all time!

Yes, I know it's the movie poster, and the movie is great, but you know what this book is? A better guide for women than Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey. Boom!

such a fantastical story... Will always love Roald Dahl

Matilda by Roald Dahl. Read this to my 6 year old, very mature, girl. She was on the edge of her seat, and I wondered at times if it was too much. It wasn't, I guess, but you have to know your kid.
