Word Work with HFW. Sight words (how many can you read? How high can you build your tower? This could be awesome. Name the sight word, build the tower. The next night to keep that tower, repeat all words until they've got them down pat! Love it!

Lego Word Family Sorting - Great visuals when sorting word families.

LEGO Word Family Sorting ~ Sort words written on DUPLO LEGO bricks to form word families. Then encourage youngsters to read and write the word family lists. You could also do this with equivalent fractions/decimals/percents. make a tower of equivalents!

Idea: LEGO sight words - by a pack of regular bricks, write sight words on the side with Sharpie and literally build sentences (this idea is not exactly on the site, but the pictures got me thinking...)
