Grab some sand from each vacation spot to bring home. Layer in a vase, jar or other clear, glass container (I think I'd want something I could close), and label the layers with the place and date. Fun, visual way to preserve travel memories.

two ideas for documenting your trips - 1) photo of your feet with the travel location in the background - all framed and grouped together 2) each beach that you travel to, collect a water bottle of sand to bring home, layer the sand in a decorative vase, label each addition with a label maker on the back of the vase.

Wish I had started this on our honeymoon.

Pam Landolt used a simple glass jar, and added sand, a favorite picture, beautiful shells, a tag with the date and journaling, and Making Memories rub-ons to the exterior of the jar. She created an unbelievably beautiful, lasting memory of a special vacation to display in her home. This idea would work equally well for an anniversary, a new baby and many other possibilities .
