This reminds me vaguely of a tea place I used to go to called "The loop". They had lace curtains and little lights around the restaurant.

i am looking for a bench to create mud room area by back door - maybe we will make one. ;)

Window seating. I'm feeling creative today. I'm thinking this would be great if the window seat, rather than being a closed box type of bench seat with books piled in front of it, was the bookcase with open shelving for books and magazines. I've seen a few with bins under for storage but why not for display. Unless you have toddlers. Or pets who tear things up.

What I like about these #stairs: open feel due to window and lack of wall on side and base.

Positively stunning. Who would have thought of this wonderful little sitting area on the landing of the stairs? Fantastic.

Add a heat source to keep the drafts away in the winter and you would always find me here with either my laptop or my Kindle.

Create a Cozy Reading Nook? I am not sure if I should do this with the front window, or if I should use the window seat as part of an eating nook?
