    • I Do Weddings

Laurie Anderson Lou Reed Life – so beautiful, painful and dazzling – does not get better than that. And death? I believe that the purpose of death is the release of love. I'm sure he will come to me in my dreams and will seem to be alive again. And I am suddenly standing here by myself stunned and grateful. How strange, exciting and miraculous that we can change each other so much, love each other so much through our words and music and our real lives.

Laurie Anderson's Farewell to Lou Reed~ Lou & I played music together,.. We made up ridiculous jokes; sang opera in elevators; made friends with unlikely people; got a sweet piano-playing dog; protected & loved each other.. I watched as he loved & appreciated other artists & musicians. He was always so generous. He knew how hard it was to do. When you marry your best friend of many yrs, there should be another name for it.. I'm sure he will come to me in my dreams & will seem to be alive again.
