Another person had this pinned on their board (of a tree made from a paper bag.) It worked great for my Sunday School lesson on Zacchaeus. Green tissue paper was used for the leaves and a clip art bible character was used for Zacchaeus. Although I teach preschoolers this craft can easily be done by a child (7 years old and up).
I did this craft for our Sunday School preschoolers last week. Our lesson was about Zacchaeus in the tree. We traced and cut their hands and wrists from brown construction paper. Then let them sponge paint the leaves on their tree. I printed off clip art pictures of Zacchaeus and Jesus from the computer and cut them out for the kids to glue on. Then took strips of green cardstock and cut small slits along the top for grass. The verse printed @ the bottom is "For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost." Luke 19:10
