17 Hairstyles That Take Less Than 10 Minutes - French Twist for long hair

  • Monica Cervantez

Ten min hair style Cutesy name: The Audrey Time it took us: 10 minutes Works on: · Medium to long hair · Blow-dried straight hair that has some volume Stuff to have handy: · Sectioning clip (see photo) · Lots of bobby pins · Hairspray · Shine spray How to: Step 1 Split hair in half, creating a top and a bottom section. Step 2 Clip the top section out of the way. Step 3 In a messy, rough way, create a mini-French twist using the bottom section (see inset photo No.2) and pin with bobby pins. Don't worry about what this looks like; it will be covered eventually. Step 4 Once the bottom is secured, release the top section and create a side part. Step 5 Tease the crown area of your head to add volume. Spray hairspray underneath that teased area for hold. Step 6 Gather the top section as if you're going to make a ponytail, but don't. Instead, tuck and roll the section inward into a French twist. Step 7 Using several large bobby pins, slide them along the inside seams of the twist to secure. Using smaller bobby pins, secure the outside of the French twist seam by tucking them into the hair. Step 8 Smooth out the front if it looks messy then do a spritz of shine spray followed by hairspray.

How to do a twisted ponytail // love this look! I love this, but my hair is so thick that I don't know if I could pin it back like in the third step, it always falls out really fast when I try to do similar things.

"17 hairstyles that take less than 10 minutes" ... riiiiight. I'll have to take their word on that.

17 hairstyles that take less than 10 minutes. I need to play around with my hair and try some of these out!

OMG I can't wait for my hair to grow longer so I can do this amazing messy hairstyle

Coiffures grew more elaborate through the Victorian period. 'Rats' or forms to pad out the style were common, as were 'switches,' the rats in particular made of the wearer's own collected hair. This photo series is a good 'how to' for the modern woman. Just don't make it so huge, that you have ACTUAL rats living in your hair....just as it would sometimes happen in the Victorian period....

Best thing is; it’s easy to do, gorgeous and keeps your hair out of your way for the night. I made this a printable tutorial, so all of the steps are next to the photos. Enjoy! Tools you’ll need: curling iron (to prep the hair with waves), sectioning clips, teasing comb or brush, clear elastic rubber band, bobby pins, light to medium holding hairspray (to mist over at the end).

Love this! But I have a hard time finding hair sticks

For braids or high pony's with loose pieces - add texturizing spray and/or dry shampoo. Make high pony or high bun, or braid sides - R loves this way.
