I read this when i was 13. I am rarely disturbed by books, but this one i found moving. Well worth the read; a sign of a good book sometimes, I find, is one that makes you uncomfortable in your own skin because it charges you to re-look at your own humanity
"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." — Groucho Marx
7/16/13 Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar... A stunning glimpse into a complex mindset. I liked this book because, unlike Catcher In The Rye, Plath's crazy was almost relatable. She uses gorgeous wordage to SHOW us how it feels to live inside your mind. I am I am I am....
What can I possibly say about this book? It's one of the best stories and most well-written books ever. Bradbury, as always, relied heavily on his reader's information to fill in the gaps, and usually, I find that sloppy writing, but with this--with this story--it works; like a haunting nightmare hovering on the edge of your memory. Ah, great stories and fantastic writing make me swoon :D
