Very cool rustic and laid back family room set up. I like the lofted wood ceiling idea with the trusses showing.

Living room. That Pottery Barn candle chandelier is perfection. My favorite design feature is the stone fireplace, it's so dramatic and rustic. These high ceilings are fantastic, totally transforms the space into more than just your typical living/family room.

Not my usual thing, right? I know. But I'm drawn to this anyway, due to the scale and detail of the architecture and the terrific choices in pieces and finishes. Gorgeous visual textures like these are so inviting.

Theres so much history behind those big homes!! Fine detailed wood work from the english, french and spanish settlers!! Id just go down south and try to salvage and renovate a home to match its bones!!

I have a white stone fireplace. I love the size of this mantle but wonder if mine should be black instead of white? Unpainted wood? Thoughts?
