Fusible Raw Edge -Simple Tulip Quilt by Debra Gabel as seen on Quilting Arts TV Series 904 - Quilting Daily

Can't even handle this quilting, so good. Coastal Lily by Minick and Simpson, pieced by Thelma and quilted by Judi Madsen.

Okay, I usually zero in on piecing, but the quilting on this is REALLY cool. I love this idea of only quilting in the white/negative areas... it adds so much texture by making the colored squares "puffy!" I'd have been too chicken to try this without seeing someone else do it first. (And I love the colors in this quilt, too!) QD Springtime (7) by farbstoff-bridge, via Flickr

IDEA #3: modern explorer quilt {example of wonky uneven boxes with lots of white around them}

Modern quilt of colorful squares on a gray background with circles quilted over. Dynamic and subtle. The Flickr page includes a link to Cherry House Quilts blog which created the pattern, free tutorials with great pictures, and quilt-a-long.

I usually don't want to see the thread. I like to look at the patterns. But this time, the juxtaposition of both makes it ethereal in one way and graphic in another.

Bouquet quilt. Raw edge appliqué. Go to Flikr page and see the progress of making this gorgeous quilt.

This is so amazing, I wish I was talented enough to even think about trying to make it :)
