toddler mitten craft from allkidsnetwork.com.  Trace a mitten shape on a folded piece of paper.  Paint ONE mitten, fold and squish.  Let dry.  Cut apart, punch a hole in each and connect with a piece of yarn.

Cut mitten on fold. Place drops of paint on one side. Gently fold closed then open. Can cut mittens apart once dried. Punch hole in top of each mitten and hang with yarn.
