In March 2017, Mark Pendergrass painted this mural for Livingston's Diner in Wichita. It was established in 1910, and is still owned and run by family. The concept is an amalgamation of the Kansas State Seal, the B-29 airplane (manufactured in Wichita during WWII), our state bird, the Meadowlark, Indians & Bison, Women in Uniform, our state flower, the Sunflower, Baseball, Mom and Apple Pie. Also included, a grain elevator and a windmill. The plane is called "The Flying Pie."
