    Pencil fidgets - They allow the student to have something to move around in their hands. Students that require such fidgets have a need for sensory stimulation, and fidgets provide that within the classroom setting.

    Didi this last year! jw.... Love this idea for the first day of school! Have the kiddos make something with playdough while you are taking care of first day housekeeping (supplies, etc.) Then have students write about what they made. Great for the 1st item in their writing portfolio!

    hahaha this is perfect. Ive seen other kinds of 'no homework binders' in classrooms during observations or subbing and they either had blank homework sheets to take and re-do or blank paper with excuses by them to act sort of like a self message book. awesome plan for motivating students!

    Replace with presidents or other historical figures. Students have to ask questions regarding their historical relevance! with English? could do with anything! AWESOME!!
