TEACHING DIVISION~ To help conquer long division, give each student a paper clip, and review the steps of long division. When it’s time to work, have each child write the simple division acronym “DMSB” for “Divide, Multiply, Subtract, Bring Down” on her paper and place the paper clip on the D. When the student completes a step, she moves her paper clip to the next letter and solves the next step.
