Snowflake photos by Wilson Bentley circa 1902. Bentley poetically described snowflakes as "tiny miracles of beauty" and snow crystals as "ice flowers." He died of pneumonia at his farm[4] on December 23, 1931, after walking six miles in a blizzard so he could photograph more snowflakes.
