I have these plants for Mike and Yuting's garden: Seed pod from Chinese lanterns. As the beautiful orange lantern decays it leaves a weblike cocoon which finally releases the seed at the right time. Evidence of design.

Chinese Lantern Plant- I don't know the root of this thing but they keep growing in between my pretty flowers!

Physalis, chinese lantern ..such a beautful plant, especially when it dries to this shape, have some in my garden, I will definetly replant it to be able to see it better
Amazing Chinese Lanterns. Not traditional cottage garden plants but I'm growing them in mine! They are at their orangey best in the autumn.
Chinese Lantern (physalis alkekengi) is a fascinating plant. First, there are little white flowers that develop into fruit protected by larger, papery pods – green at first, but later becoming bright orange, perfectly resembling little Chinese lanterns ~ it is an aggressive vining plant, though.

Chinese Lantern, The one non-puple or blue plant I want.Childhood memory in Iowa, in the 1960s on my bike riding in an alley I came upon these in an abandoned courtyard garden behind an old house. Before then I never saw an ornamental garden - only vegetable gardens or a single plant next to a house.
"Chinese Lanterns" - remind me of my Grandma Anderson's flower garden. Nevena Uzurov - Lanterns (by venkane)
Love these chinese lantern plants - my grandma always had some of these dried in a vase in her basement... As a child, they just don't look real...
Chinese Lanterns. (Physalis alkekengi (bladder cherry, Chinese lantern, Japanese lantern, or winter cherry) is a relative of P. peruviana (Cape gooseberry), easily identifiable by the larger, bright orange to red papery covering over its fruit, which resemble paper lanterns. It is native from southern Europe east across southern Asia to Japan. The flowers are white, with an inflated basal calyx which matures into the papery orange fruit covering.)
Love these chinese lantern plants
