Homemade Natural Deodorant (but I use only baking soda, corn starch, and coconut oil, plus essential oils.)

Gentle, All Natural Deodorant Stick Recipe:: 1/8 cup arrowroot powder 1/8 cup baking soda 2 1/2 Tbsp. coconut oil 1 heaped Tbsp. beeswax (I use the pellets, which are easy for measuring and melt down quickly) 8 drops tea tree essential oil 8 drops lavender essential oil 2 drops castor oil (optional- this just helps it to "slide" a little better) Very small amounts of other essential oils for scent purposes (optional- you can use up to another 8-10 drops)

Recipes for homemade deodorant. Why is this important? Because anti-perspirants contain aluminum and they are believed to be one of the biggest causes of Alzheimers. No proof, but why take chances. I trashed my club aluminum because I didn't want anyone else to take a chance, especially after my mother came down with and she had used those pots for 30 years.

Homemade deodorant... it might sound crazy, but I want to give this a try

Aluminum is bad bad bad for you... and surprise... it's in our deodorant. And, guess what else... our skin absorbs it right into our blood stream. Since I have MS, and metal deposits can lodge themselves in those lil brain lesions, I know that I really need to do this. I haven't yet... a friend of mine uses equal parts coconut oil, baking soda and arrowroot powder.

How to Make Your Own Stick Deodorant

Natural Deodorant! Rather than using a deodorant with aluminum, this is made with coconut oil (SO good for you), baking soda (to absorb odor), arrowroot powder ( I think to absorb liquid), and essential oils of your choice. I used lavender (great for healing of skin) and Lemon (antibacterial). Smells great, too! Let's see how it works! So far, so good!

Homemade deodorant, that lasts all day. Very simular to the one I made today. I will keep this recipe around too.

3/8 cup of corn strach, 1/8 cup baking soda, 2 tablespoons of melted shea butter, and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. After the oils set, this made for very firm deodorant which should be safe at room temperature for most summer days.
