Yes, Jesus was homeless on and off throughout his life just like most homeless people today are homeless on and off. Jesus is great and is The Son of God. Jesus also said as you treat the least of these, so you treat me so keep that in mind next time you meet a homeless person

Another pinner said quite well - Why do we call them "homeless" people? People don't refer to me as a "house" person and we don't call people "condo" or "apartment" people. We focus so much I'm the "homeless" part that we forget the "people" part. <3
Someday I hope to stay with homeless people for a few days and photograph their lives. I would like to use the images to raise awareness that even in our smaller town we have homelessness.
People who labeled other people by where other people live. Homeless people are labeled homeless because they do not have a home to live. On the other hand, why are people not labeled apartment people when they live in an apartment? Or people who live in a house are not called house people? It is unfair for people to discriminate other people simply by where they live.
I want to save money to buy food and things for homeless people that I see across the country.
Why do we call them "homeless" people? This is not what most of us consider to be a home!

The evil one uses the beast so that man can acquire many things through the use of credit and loans against his property. In time the evil one sets out to have these things turn against you, even to extending more credit, all of these possessions can become real to you, and the pressures of the Financial Beast of Man can crush your mind and destroy you. Distance yourself from these things so the evil one cannot cause you misery.

Matthew 25:44. ...Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and not help You? This is a good reminder. Has anyone ever had the experience of a homeless person turning food down? It happened again the other day, they wanted cash and cash only.
This is someone's daughter, sister, mother or wife! Does personalizing it like this make a difference in how you respond?

Homeless man cuddling dog. Is that the only place he can find unconditional love ? This picture is so sad, of what our society has allowed, a nation that gives to other countries, while ignoring our own need.

This just breaks my heart but its so true.
Eulogy on the Dog Senator George Graham Vest: "Gentlemen of the jury: The best friend a man has in this world may turn against him and become his enemy. His son or daughter that he has reared with loving care may prove ungrateful. Those who are nearest and dearest to us, those whom we trust with our happiness and our good name, may become traitors to their faith. The money that a man has, he may lose. It flies away from him, perhaps when he needs it the most. A man’s reputation may be sacrificed in a moment of ill-considered action. The people who are prone to fall on their knees to do us honor when success is with us may be the first to throw the stone of malice when failure settles its cloud upon our heads. The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him and the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog. Gentleman of the jury: A man’s dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master’s side. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer, he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens. If fortune drives the master forth an outcast in the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him to guard against danger, to fight against his enemies, and when the last scene of all comes, and death takes the master in its embrace and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by his graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his eyes sad but open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true even to death."

when she starts earning money she spends a lot of spare time (what's not spent in the studio) volunteering at homeless shelters. she spent 6 months on the street when she was fourteen before being put in an orphanage. she also has a large aversion to alcohol, because her father was an alcoholic. he kicked her out when she was fourteen.

Often times people who have become homeless resort to the most inexpensive thing possible and that is living under the roof of a cardboard box. Yes there are many homeless shelters around but, that does not solve the whole problem because they become filled up, leaving the rest on the street. This is a very sad but true statement that i believe should be changed very soon.
Everyday materials such as a cardboard boxes, newspaper or other materials we can relate to homeless people with. These items are not worth much to the everyday person but to a homeless person it is their home, shelter, blanket, warmth, etc. Surely we can make it better. Let's make it better!
homeless... don't look through them, past them or judge them. $2 is a hamburger for you and me...for them it's recognition that they are human and that they do exist. To a homeless person... that could mean everything. What if it were you and you were hungry and dirty?
This poster aims to call attention to the situation of homeless people in Los Angeles through the use of everyday materials such as a cardboard boxes, newspaper or other materials we can relate to homeless people with. These items are not worth much to the everyday person but to a homeless person it is their home, shelter, blanket, warmth, etc.

The homeless would give anything for a roof over their heads. Homeless people depend on any hard surface to protect them from weather, even if it is a cardboard box, which is often enough for many of them. Homeless people do not take their homes for granted however they shouldn't adjust to such a poor, cold, and hungry life.
Homeless...remember, some people live in boxes. LEARN to appreciate what you've got! AMEN!!!

"What's the difference between a prisoner of war and a homeless person?" I get that a POW is a hostage and a homeless person is at liberty, even if that means being free to starve. Is it more poignant to think of our homeless as hostages? Or to consider the number of homeless veterans?
American Homelessness and the Issue of Entitlements | Nomadic Politics. This poster makes a good point. Something is clearly wrong when you treat your enemy prisoners worse than your own citizens. When enemies are entitled to better conditions than your average homeless person, it's worth a closer look. - See more at: http://nomadicpolitics.blogspot.com/2013/02/american-homelessness-and-issue-of.html#sthash.0enzOfJO.dpuf

Another pinner : Unfortunately some of the worst food for you is the cheapest and easiest, like fast food. Many poor people are forced to eat unhealthy because healthy food is expensive and also many inner cities don't have things like fresh fruits or vegetables available to them. Many people just don't have a choice
"Poverty is like punishment for a crime you didn't commit." What's Sevenly? http://svnly.org/PinLink People living in poverty tend to be blamed for their misfortune and condition by those who are not part of this deprived culture. In other words, poor people are often stigmatised and are labelled as lazy and foremost responsible for their situation.

poverty is like punishment for a crime you didn't commit. poverty and the environment are the biggest problems facing humankind today. Instead of focusing on these problems, humans divide ourselves with identity politics and hate. Posting this in my "Psych" folder because quite frankly, Psychiatric has massively failed people, especially poor people everywhere. Instead of being a force for good it ha served to over-analyze, label & drug those who need empathy and life skills for coping.
Sad truth, Poverty is like a punishment for a crime you didn't commit ...
