Hong Kong. An engineering miracle that must be seen to be believed and one that will leave you forever in awe of the British Corps of Engineers (also the folks who brought us the Normany beach landings in WW2). A city built into a rock. No place on earth has the vibe of New York City (IMHO) except Hong Kong. I do however miss Kai Tak airport.

bird market in kowlooon, hong kong. one of my favorite places in the world. old men bringing wooden birdcages to a little park and playing some mah jong to pass the time.

inside my brain-colors, lights, smells, sounds all are intense and each distracting from the other. It's beautiful and painful because I feel I can SEE it all i can't DO it all! So I leave a wake behind me of what I started and left behind when I moved onto the next thing. Honestly it's exhausting.

Believe it or not, but neon-signs spotting is actually something well worth doing, when in Hong Kong... Nathan Road and its offshoots are probably the best.
