More to explore:
Inti Raymi, the Inca Festival of the Sun, in Cuzco Peru, one of the world's great celebrations I was fortunate enough to watch in 1995.
Terraces of Pisaq, Sacred Valley, Peru
Tambopata Reserve, Peru.
A tributary of the Amazon River. I first heard, then saw, a howler monkey high in the trees.
Machu Pichu. Breathtaking!
Watched the sun rise over this spectacular site in June 1995 with maybe 6 other very quiet strangers. Breathtaking is the best way to describe it.
Lake Titicaca (Bolivia, Peru)
I had wanted to see Lake Titicaca since grade school when I picked Peru to write my report on a South American country and learned about this lake with the floating islands and reed boats. Also, what child wouldn't want to visit a place with such an exotic sounding name? Happy I got to see it!
Great use of line and color.
